Lombok's City Tour
The largest city and also the provincial capital in West Nusa Tenggara is Mataram, which is also the center of tourism on Lombok Island. The city of Mataram is currently being developed into a tourism city.
For cultural tourism, the combination of Lombok and Balinese culture and touches of other ethnicities has given birth to a very interesting cultural collaboration, and there are several interesting places worth visiting.
This half day Mataram City Tour covering heritages in Lombok.
The highlights are:
- Mayura, the royal floating palace (Bale Kambang) of the former Balinese kingdom which was built in 1714.
- Narmada, this historical place is used to be a palace of Anak Agung Gede Ngurah, which was built in 1805. Here you see a miniature of Mount Rinjani and Segara Anak lake with a holy temple on the top.
- Bertais Market, the biggest daily market in Lombok and center of trading. many things are available here such as fresh fruit, vegetables, herbs and spices, rice and fish, local artifacts etc.
- To complete the tour, we will take you to one of the famous culinary in Lombok. Ayam Bakar or Ayam Goreng Taliwang, the real taste of Lombok.

Pick up From Hotel - Mayura Temple Meet with our Guide at Hotel's Lobby or Bangsal harbor, smooth drive to Mayura Temple for approx 30 - 45 minutes
Mayura Temple & Bale Kembang Mayura Temple and Bale Kambang in Cakranegara. During the Dutch occupancy, this historical temple was used as the court.
Narmada Water Place Narmada Water Palace, a historical park that was used by the Balinese Dynasty King as a summer palace. Inside this park, there's a spring that believes by locals to be the fountain of youth (air awet muda).
Bertais Market Bertais is one of the biggest local market where all those traders from all over parts in Lombok do their business. From agro product, fishery and art & crafts can be found here.
Experience Ayam Bakar or Ayam Goreng Taliwang After the half day of sightseeing, time has come to give a try for the "taste of Lombok". We'll take you to one of the local restaurant in town, to experience Ayam Bakar or Ayam Goreng Taliwang, accompanied by steam rice, Pelecing Kangkung and Beberuk Terong. After meal, we will give you some extra time visiting some nice spots for photos before we drop you back to your hotel. End of the program. |
