Do you like climbing? adventure to the highest part of Pergasingan Hill in Sembalun, East Lombok. Start with a smooth drive to Sembalun to explore the 1,200 meter high plateau surrounded by volcanoes and mountain peaks. This program is good for beginners, or as an alternative destination for climbers when Mount Rinjani National Park is closed for 3 months, which usually closes from the beginning of January to the end of March every year.

The highlights:

• This tour program does not require special permits or special technical skills.
• It is safe for all ages except for certain criteria such as: disabled people who use wheelchairs, children or babies who are still in arms, pregnant women, people with heart-attack and rheumatism sufferers.
• The sunset and sunrise are the main highlights of this program as well as views of the surrounding valley from the top of Pergasingan Hill.
• The pleasure of lying under the stars at night that feel real and close.
• Accompanied by experienced local mountain guides and porters who carry logistics and will cook for you, put up tents, etc.
• The driver and car will be on standby waiting until you finish. So, if you bring along your traveling luggage and backpack, you can leave it in the car and then pick it up again the next day.
• Includes pick-up and drop-off before and after the program.

The Itinerary:

Day 1: Pick up - Sembalun - Pergasingan Hill

This program can be started at any time from 08.00 to 14.00 WIB. We also provide free pick-up from Lombok Airport at no additional charge.

Smooth journey to Sembalun takes about 2-3 hours, arrive at Sembalun Village meet with mountain guide and porter, then you will get a short briefing, and then the journey begins!!!

Walk along the path through the rice fields around Pergasingan Hill, enjoying views of the vegetable gardens and rice fields that surround Sembalun Lawang. After approximately 2.5 hours of walking, you arrive at the top of Pergasingan Hill, you can enjoy the beautiful view of Mount Rinjani, the colorful rice fields under the hill, savanna, sunrise and sunset, a night full of stars, you can make a campfire, etc.

The guides and porters cook your meals and prepare lunch and dinner and set up the tent. Admire the unique beauty of the Sembalun Valley with its lush greenery, volcanoes and rolling hills. Enjoy a delicious hilltop lunch at one of the most beautiful campsites on the island. Enjoy the surroundings with a cup of tea or coffee. Enjoy your dinner, while watching the sun slowly set.

Day 2: Pergasingan Hill - Sembalun - Senaru - Next destination

The sun usually rises at 06.00 am and you can watch the sunrise clearly from Pergasingan Hill while enjoying breakfast served by our porter and guide.

At 09.00 WIB we finished packing and were ready to go down. Easy walk to Sembalun village and a car/van is waiting for you. On the way back to Mataram or Senggigi, we will stop in Senaru, visit a traditional village, take a short break and enjoy lunch at one of the local restaurants in Senaru, and after lunch we will continue the smooth journey to Mataram, Bangsal or Senggigi. We will drop you off at your hotel, or port if you want to cross to the Gili Islands. End of Program.

• Trekking Shoes / Sneakers
• Sun protection; Hat, Sunglasses, Sunscreen Lotion
• Trekking Poles (not required)
• Flashlight or headlamp
• 2-3 spare t-shirts
• A small towel or wet tissue to wipe away sweat due to high humidity
• Warm jacket (it gets colder at the top)
• Raincoat (in case it rains)
• First aid kit to be on the safer side

Booking & Cancellation Policy:

• Reservations should be made at least 3 days in advance.
• A minimum deposit of 20% is required to guarantee the booking and the balance must be paid in cash on arrival or when meeting our guide/driver.
• Cancellations made 48 hours prior to arrival, 50% deposit will be refunded.
• Cancellations made within 24 hours or "no-shows" will not be refunded.
• Online payments via "Paypal" will be subject to a 3.9% processing fee.

Pick Up & Drop Off Information:

• Free shuttle service available in certain areas such as: Lombok International Airport, Bangsal / Teluk Nare, Senggigi, Mataram and surrounding areas.
• Additional fees apply for pick-up/drop-off services outside the above areas (payable directly to the driver).
• Flexible pick-up time, between 09.00 to 14.00 or according to your arrival flight or boat schedule.
