|The Pergasingan Hill Trek|
|The Pergasingan Hill Track is a gentle, easy trip, and is suitable for most trekkers. With a gradual increase, the peak is at an altitude of 1,700 meters above sea level. The first half hour of the trip will be steeper. Then the path passes through the forest and savanna with a gradual climb. Walking through the misty forest will make you feel like walking in a butterfly park. After about 3 hours of slow hiking trails, you will reach the ridge which is the camping location for Pergasingan Hill. The ridge faces the valley of the village of Sembalun, Mount Rinjani and other mountains in Lombok.|
RECENT CONDITIONS - APRIL 2020
The new entry point to Pergasingan Hill is 'Bukit Tanaq Abang'.
The earthquake in 2018 caused a lot of damage on the island of Lombok and Sembalun was one of the villages that was badly affected by this earthquake.
Local people believe that the mountain is a sacred place and should not be polluted by humans through excessive commercialization efforts.
As a result of these local sentiments, they placed large bamboo and barbed wire walls at the entrance to the old path.
Ascent is still permitted or not officially closed, only the entrance has been changed.
