Lombok / Mataram City Tour

Tour Highlights:

This is a half day tour covering some destination in west Lombok such as: Mayura, the royal floating palace (Bale Kambang) of the former Balinese kingdom which was built in 1714. Narmada, this historical place is use to be a palace of Anak Agung Gede Ngurah, one of Balinese king which was built in 1805Here you see a miniature of Mount Rinjani and Segara Anak lake with a holy temple on the top.
Bertais Market, the biggest daily market in Lombok and center of trading. many things are available here such as fresh fruit, vegetables, herbs and spices, rice and fish, local artifacts etc. To complete the tour, we will take you to one of the famous culinary in Lombok. Ayam Bakar or Ayam Goreng Taliwang, the real taste of Lombok.

Tour Itinerary:

Pick up from your hotel in Senggigi or Mangsit or Klui, meet our guide at the hotel's lobby, then proceed to visit Mayura Temple and Bale Kambang in Cakranegara. During the Dutch occupancy, this historical temple was used as the court. The local guide will shows you around.

 

After Mayura, we proceed to Narmada Water Palace, a historical park that was used by the Balinese Dynasty King as a summer palace. Inside this park, there's a spring that believes by locals to be the fountain of youth (air awet muda).

 

We'll take you to explore more by visiting the local market. Bertais is one of the biggest local market where all those traders from all over parts in Lombok do their business. From agro product, fishery and art & crafts can be found here.

 

After the half day of sightseeing, time has come to give a try for the "taste of Lombok". We'll take you to one of the local restaurant in town, to experience Ayam Bakar or Ayam Goreng Taliwang, accompanied by steam rice, Pelecing Kangkung and Beberuk Terong. After meal, we will give you some extra time visiting some nice spots for photos before we drop you back to your hotel. End of the program.
